God, devil and the self-image

God

When you’re not on His track, when you are not judged by His truth, I understand your need to be the devil.

The devil

You! After all you want to live, you want to experience only pleasantness, since suffering does not bear any purpose to you anyhow, so it’s only natural that you would want to get rid of it as quickly as possible. You want to further yourself, because there is nothing positive that you can find in being satisfied with what you have if others have more. Life is running by and you want only to live and enjoy them, because there is nothing beyond that.

You want all these and you have no God – what then will you do? Will you not lie, steal, embezzle and murder? Will you not withhold yourself in order to save, overfeed yourself in order to repress, drug yourself in order to sleep and forget who you are in order to be?
After all, one way or the other there is no one counting your sins, and those who do will eventually die, as you will. Within you there is total anarchy and if there is a reason at all to prevent you from exposing it to others, it’s probably the fear from “law and order”, that humans just like you created out of their own fear of themselves and their kind, as a cheap substitute to faith. You fear from the enforcer of that law and order – the police and legal system, which can incarcerate you and thus take away from you that good and pleasant which you so desire: going from here to there, fillet steak, drugs and sex – the illusionary freedom of sensual desires.

But if that too does not frighten you because you are strongly enough in contact with your destructive desires and urges, or on the other hand enough of a slave to them, or perhaps you are just an suppressive-repressive optimistic, then the sky is the bottom of the abyss and ill will becomes your best friend, it becomes you and it reflects itself from your evil eyes with your every slightest deed or action.
…And once, not long ago, we were one.

Bet on the flip-side of The coin of spirit

The self-image

And there are also those, the self-righteous, the main-streamers who are so puritanically committed to their uptight self-image, the ones who are blinded and addicted to their own pretension, to the extent that they are actually willing to die for it.
But fear them not, for they can pose no threat.
