The Hollywood Antichrist Superstar

A walk down memory lane

They say the world was different in the 40’s, 50’s and even in the 60’s before that whole Woodstock revolution made it legitimate to walk around naked, degrade sexual intercourse to the level of crude beasts, and do drugs in the name of “peace and love”. They say that the world was a better place and that you didn’t have to be scared to go out of your home at night. They say that people were more moral and less egocentric. They are wrong, but only in the sense that human nature is human nature in its most basic form – the attachment towards our Ego’s, its perpetuation with sense desires and the sedation of morality, compassion and honesty as a result of this numbness and blindness. They are wrong because we have always been like that, since the time of Eden. After all that’s why we were punished. But they are also right.

The sense of shame and the sense of blame

The Buddha talks about the sense of shame and the sense of blame. These are the final dams that keep the unwholesomeness and evil forces of the subconscious  from flooding our conscious mind and overwhelming us to the extent of translating these thoughts and emotions into words and deeds. When performing any unwholesome action a sense of shame and a sense of blame must arise in order for one to be declared as a borderline moral conscious being, otherwise one becomes worse than an animal, fueled not only by crude and selfish instincts, but also acting upon conscious and deliberate volition of doing evil to others in order to gain advantage. This becomes worse when these patters of behavior stop being justified by the gaining of any material or mental aspects of survival, and start being performed plainly for the sake of causing misery in itself. This becomes an addiction to evil. But that’s not all.

Psychopath’s pills of moral sedation

Even those who have crossed the lines of morality so many times as to become totally numb and insensitive to others, still have that shining spot of conflict every time they do wrong. But the problem is that our threshold increases due to the erosion of inertia. These forces of evil, these patterns of immoral behavior get repeated over and over again, until they become our first nature and every last bit of the Divine nature instilled in us by definitions of Creation is dimmed completely, to leave us in the total darkness of the Devil. These unfortunate beings become devoid of any sense of shame or blame to any wrong deed, crime and misery they inflict upon others. Modern psychiatry calls them “Psychopaths”. And indeed, by this day and age the collective moral standard of humanity has decreased so much as to produce numerous numbers of psychopaths, performing horrifying deeds to their families and strangers, and for which they do not express the least bit of remorse. We read about them in the newspapers almost everyday. In fact we read about them so much, that we ourselves become more and more used to this kind of happening. We start accepting for granted that these things happen in our time, we are being sedated ourselves.

This becomes even worse, when we even start treating these deformities of the human psyche and nature as heroes.

Crucified on Superstardom

Action movies, thrillers, mafia sagas… Most movies in general sin – they are wrong in inflicting wrongful ideas for the purpose of making money, they are sin in being so unaware and superficial. They are wrong in promoting the image of the immoral, selfish, cynical and self-centered behavior to the level of a role model. They sin in deliberately branding evil figures as heroes.

The Antichrist superstar moral standard they reflect to people: “It’s OK to kill and steal as long as you’re fucking up someone worse than you are”, and not only that but you can also have a lot of fun in the process, spending some quality time with good killer-friends and devil soul-mates, planning and working harmoniously on the execution of horrifying deeds, while sitting congenially in a novorich well-designed post modernistic and fully equipped room. You might even fall in love with an intelligent, gorgeous and morally flexible woman along the way… whatta great job, whatta Italian Job…

Kriss Kross’ll make you jump, jump…aha, aha…jump!

If there is an exact and elaborate definition of “infamous hypocrisy” – this is it. And no, it’s not “just a movie”. These movies reflect what people want to see most, that’s why their so successful. Had the majority of us thought according to the innate moral codes of Creation, Hollywood would have gone bankrupt decades ago. They reflect humanity’s contemporary low moral standards and turn to the low desires common denominator – they encourage us to forget who we are completely, no matter what the cost would be, just in order to obtain all the paraphernalia of corporeal success.

These kinds of movies touch a soft spot for many of us. No one likes to be in a weak position, no one likes to get fucked over or be used or abused. No one likes to lose or suffer. No one likes to be in a position where life itself had become no more than scenery for a continuing show of inability and despair.

On the other end of the cross

Because of that and due to the lack of belief and acknowledgment in the governing force of infinite awareness, the caring for people, true love, morality, humility – these values are lost almost totally to the world of today, and those who still try to abide by these laws of nature are considered naive, foolish or hippies.
But the thing is, that you don’t have to be stupid in order to be compassionate – quite the opposite: wisdom begets compassion as well as the penetrating insight to all phenomenon, animate and inanimate – no one will be able “to fuck with you” then.

The Antichrist preacher

However, I myself still not once aspire to become such an Antichrist superstar and live the dream of quick power and easy money. These desires of passion, beauty, lust and strength are strong as much as the fear of death and uncertainty which begets them. I sympathize with all those who have given up the fight to become addicts of egotism, blinded by masquerades of corporeal certainties, fearful slaves of the devil, I really do.
My mind is also still rife with thoughts of this kind, but I try to recall the fact that I will die soon and that what awaits for me then is bigger, for better or for worse – I’ll be my own judge, and my verdict will have to be sincere…
