Art

  • The contents of art and the perception of the essence of art are completely subjective.
  • A work of art and the analysis of the work of art are completely subjective.
  • An artistic consensus is a matter of subjective interpretation and at best, a collective of opinions united under the membership of the same perception.

Genius

  • Genius, the definition of genius and the definition of the characteristics of genius are spiritual concepts rather than psychological ones.
  • Genius has nothing to do with intellect but rather with intuition.
  • Intuition has nothing to do with gender, character or “I was born with it”, but rather with concentration.
  • Concentration is the temporary purification of the mind from conditionings, conceptions, ideas and eroded definitions.
  • The concentration of the mind is the personal achievement of the individual.
  • The more concentrated you are, the more genius you become.
  • Once I was not a genius.

The I

  • The conditionings, the conceptions, the ideas and the eroded definitions are the I.
  • The I narrows the infinite.
  • Concentration annuls the I.
  • When there is no I, there is God.
  • When there is God concentration is no longer the personal achievement of the individual, for there is no more an individual.

The arrogance of genius

  • Genius is not necessarily heightened spiritual awareness.
  • Genius which is not accompanied by conscious awareness to its true origin begets arrogance.
  • Arrogance is slavery of the mind.
  • Slavery of the mind contradicts its genius, weakens it and turns one stupid.

The arrogance of the genius artist

  • I am Ilan and I am an artist.
  • findigart is my embodiment and therefore it is art.
  • Amen.

The fearful side of the coin of arrogance

  • I have too much to prove.
  • I am too busy proving it.
  • Had I really been an artist I wouldn’t have bothered so much endearing myself to the same establishment which I criticize relentlessly.
  • Had I not been so afraid of not being an artist, I would have been an artist.

Wisdom

  • Concentration might lead to wisdom.
  • Wisdom is the timeless liberation of the mind from the bondage of its habit patterns.
  • Wisdom has to do with intellect even less than concentration does.
  • Wisdom is happiness.
  • I am not happy, therefore I am not wise.
