Home Pastorale, a pastoral vision of home

Unappealing loneliness

In a pastoral home Yellow can also be blue, and alone is not necessarily lonely…

Loneliness derives from us being separated from God into an infinite number of individual elements of Ego. It does not matter with how much family, friends, property and crowdedness one will engulf and infuse himself in. Can you see beauty in the place of Man in existence such as this? Can you see that there is in fact no choice but to be alone, but the freedom to choose not to be lonely?

Gliding alone in pastoral beauty

Pastoral and silent, death approaches us all and asks not permission to take what is his by nature…

The single bird in the skies symbolized the place of Man within himself. I think that sharing the same fate of death is the most intense, essential and fundamental bond we all have. We are all alone, we are all in it together. We are all children of God.
It is natural to be alone and completely sane to feel lonely even when we are surrounded by people. Deep inside there is nothing but awareness, nothing which we can call our own, nothing which is truly us. As long as we are not acquainted with that nothingness of awareness we will remain afraid of ourselves and seek refuge in the company of others.
