Divine Opportunities, Chains of Greed
Opportunities arise but greed abides
Greed as a state of mind (figure), striving for change as a direction (figure’s intent suggested by its posture) and fragmentation of hindrances along the path as a fact (background).
Divine opportunities
Especially in the context of creating art, I experience that I have received a certain gift.
Inspiration is a gift, it is not actually coming from within my own confined self. It is somewhat absurd that I can so quickly forget that I am not actually the owner of that which I received but only the mediator. Several times I was forced to yield such a gift for different reasons and I have always experienced much difficulty in doing so. However many times if not always, when I attained closure with that concession I received in return a greater gift of inspiration, which only increased the quality and depth of the artwork.
Chains of greed
Each and every one of us received some kind of a gift and we all want more, but greed and attachment to what we already possess chain us and prevent us from enjoying the infinite abundance offered by God in return for true faith. Our fear leads us to believe that all is dependent on us only and on the results of our bloody battles for the glorification of our self-images and the improvement of our conditions.
