Eye of I

The internal experience of arrogance begets external behavior patterns of evil, and that of humility begets external behavior patterns of goodness. These internal experiences are first reflected in the eyes, the commonly accepted mirrors of the soul, prior to being manifested as good or evil behavior or even in the body language.

What is it that which causes me to defend from others? What is it that which I defend? What is this “I” which I guard so fanatically from criticism or insult? Pride is that which creates the ego which consolidates into the conception of the “I”, and wherever there is “I” there is the evil to defend it from all harm.

In the lack of pride the being will dissolve into the wholeness, which I believe contains nothing but love and goodwill for all others, for everything.
