Labor in the Name

It’s not enough to recognize ourselves in the mirror in order to be defined as human beings…

Every deed, whatever it is, can be a accompanied with spiritual awareness. The spiritual awareness is the true value of doing, and it is that which differentiates us from the common beasts. It is not sufficient for us to recognize ourselves in the mirror in order to define ourselves as human beings.

One, who is developed in mindfulness and knowledge of the essence of existence, enjoys humility and is satisfied with little or nothing at all, and is also aided by the higher creative forces. On the other hand, one who’s awareness is limited to the narrow boundaries of ego only and who serves only the urge of greed, suffers from difficulties and hindrances as a result from his lack of understanding of the laws of Creation and his sole belief that: “If I won’t do it, it will never get done”. Efforts to achieve and maintain are necessary of course, but the results are not up to us.

The addiction to greed derives from vanity. There has never been and never there will be enough of something. The purpose of chasing fame and fortune is not attainable. The lack of essence in such a chase only nourishes that same vanity which begets it (recurring image of scenery in television).

“What you are now is what you had done in the past, what you will be in the future is what you are doing now”
– The Buddha.

    Hey Dusty,
Glad to hear. If this content served you than perhaps God, devil and the self-image will help as well.
    Good luck at school.
